You know what I’ve noticed after working with hundreds of women on their fertility and hormone health?
Most of them don’t realize they’re doing things every single day that are quietly lowering their egg quality and slowing their fertility progress - even when they’re doing “everything right.”
The hardest part about hormone health is that a lot of the mistakes you can make aren't obvious. They’re subtle, sneaky, and most rarely ever learn about them!
Here are the top 3 I see over and over again:
- Using beauty and household products that secretly damage egg quality
Nail polish is a major one here! Research shows that women with higher phthalate levels before they conceive are significantly more likely to miscarry. And the exposure isn’t only from beauty products - it’s in food packaging, plastic water bottles, and even coffee machines with plastic tubing. To protect egg quality and reduce miscarriage risk, avoid plastic, especially heated food and drinks in plastic, choose glass whenever possible, and swap plastic coffee makers for a stainless steel french press.
2. Focusing on supplements before foundations
Egg quality isn’t built by products, it’s built by cellular energy. Your mitochondria, inside each developing egg, need stable blood sugar, mineral balance, nutrient density, oxygenation, and safety signals to function. Yes, professional grade supplements can help, but you can't out-pill a bad diet, insulin resistance, or high cortisol. Most women are taking prenatals, CoQ10, or inositol while skipping the very conditions required for those supplements to make a difference, such as nervous system regulation (waaay underestimated!!)
3. Missing critical lab insights because standard testing isn't reviewed by a functional practitioner.
A lot of conventional lab work ranges are SO wide that markers aren't flagged until WAY past the point of dis-ease. Most GPs don’t even test for many markers that matter most for conception, implantation, and miscarriage prevention. I see this a lot with Vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for progesterone receptors, immune tolerance, and healthy placental development, yet over one-third of the U.S. population is deficient. Women are told their labs are “fine,” when no one actually checked the hormones, nutrients, and metabolic markers that determine whether the body can sustain a pregnancy.
And a bonus one: 4. Ignoring detox and drainage
When your liver is sluggish and your detox pathways are backed up, estrogen and environmental toxins linger - creating inflammation that impacts cervical mucus, ovulation strength, luteal phase length, sperm survival, egg integrity, and implantation potential. Before boosting fertility, you have to clear the pathways first so hormones can move, metabolize, and communicate properly.

These aren’t just bad habits. They’re silent pregnancy blockers that create irregular cycles, negative pregnancy tests, and that constant feeling of “whyyyyy isn’t this working?”
Let me help you remove the things that are quietly costing you MONTHS with your future baby.
Because once you do that, you can experience healthier egg quality, consistent ovulation, glowing skin, stable energy, and a body that’s ready to conceive naturally.
